Hello,
we have a Linux390 environment with 10 virtual Linux-machines running
on zVM and using IUCV or CTC to communicate with TCPIP on the VM.
All Linux belong to the same IP-subnet and all Linux are Samba-Servers.
In theorie, only one of our Linux should become a local master browser
by holding a browsing election on the local subnet. But in our case,
every Linux becomes as a local master browser, they do not negotiate.
We don't think that we have a Samba-configuration problem. We rather
expect that it's a general problem related to the communication-device
configuration for Linux on VM.
Has somebody also recognised a Samba-behavior like that and has fixed
the problem? I also appreciate any explanation of this behaviour.
Thanks and regards, Heinz
