The answer to this question is more related to what's running on this machine
than how big the machine is.

Which application (or applications) are running on the machine and how
heavily utilized is it?  For instance, if the machine is simply a file server
and it is servicing 100 users and, on average, runs at 5-10%, then this
machine would be considered a good candidate for consolidation onto Linux for
S/390 with Samba.
