Thanks for clarifying Uli. I clearly underestimated the damage from C++ I think his reference to the 7-CD version was in the quote from the IBM person, and he himself installed from an incomplete version. Last time I checked, the 2-CD public Beta from SuSE did not have the compat.rpm. Rob
