Well there still isn't an SLES 8 for x86.  Suse's Personal/Pro offerings
are typically well ahead of their enterprise stuff in software versions
and features.  Their enterprise products benefit in terms of stability
and reliability in part because of this more conservative approach.
RedHat and the other vendors seem to behave similarly.
