Our developers and database people find Oracle9i on Linux/390 to be identical to Oracle9i on any other Unix or Linux box. In fact, Oracle9i documentation specific to Linux/390 is only the release notes, everything else is common.
Performance depends on disk and processor sizes and speeds regardless of platform, but we have not noticed any issues on our MP3000 boxes. You may need a bigger box for large production workloads (we are a development shop). Hope this helps, Jim Yagiz Erkan wrote:
