Though you didn't mention which EMC device, I'll assume it's comparable to
the IBM Shark or the HDS Lightning. The device appears as one or more
3990 controlunits to VM. Usually you define the raid behind as 3390-3,
3390-9 or as custom sized 3390 (up to 32700 cylinders).  They can be
either FICON or Escon attached.  If you have more than one virtual
3990 LCU in your storage box (likely), you just use the CUADD parameter in
IOCP to differentiate between them, the rest is like any other 3990.
