Buy one on the used market, or lease one for a month. Used 3174-11Ls are going for about $300 and a 3278-2 should cost no more than $100 these days -- the ESCON attached versions shouldn't be much more expensive. Used 7171s should cost no more than about $2k for the chassis and a 8 or 16 port board.
Leases should be somewhere in the $300 range, although you should ask your local IBM office if they can loan you one for a few days. I've had good luck with that if all you need it for is to install the system. -- db ----- Original Message ----- From: "Post, Mark K" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 5:57 PM Subject: Re: 3270 emulation packages > Well, then you have your answer. :) > > Mark Post > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 12:37 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: 3270 emulation packages > > > Right.
