I don\'t have mail access from the network my Linux guests are on, so can\'t cut and paste, but I recently strapped 5 20G jumbo-3390s into a 100G LVM logical volume. Sweet. Doing the math it looks like the volumes were not actually 32767 cylinders, but they are surely bigger than Mod 9s. FWIW, this was using LVM 1.0.3 on a 2.4.19 kernel, under z/VM 4.3.
