Diana, WebSphere runs wonderfully under Linux for S/390. Discussion of performance to the contrary, I have a couple of customers that are actually quite happy with it. As to the price that Ralph mentioned, your concept of pricy might be different. It all depends upon what you think it will provide for you.
Remember, WebSphere is not only a product, it is a framework and an infrastructure. If you have programmers that understand Java and/or WebSphere, all the better.
