The siren probably was a field upgrade. Our /65 had a bell.

I think the /65 had a siren.  The /50 had a bell.

And ******* loud it was, too!  One ring meant a machine check, three meant
"Intervention
Required" on the console".  If it rang in the middle of the night shift,
every operator would
freeze on the spot, close their eyes, cross their fingers and mutter
"PLEASE ring again!"
