Totally compramise the system?  Is this for manual transfers or
for automatic transfers?

Such permissins allow malicious scripts to install trojans instead of
binaries or to manipulate your system configuration in some very
interesting ways.

It also allows human errors to escalate easier.

1. scp
2. sftp
3. ftp to your homedir/tmp and copy from there.
4. what ftpd do you use?
