John's point is well taken, however. It would be courteous to post in globally unambiguous terms, and convert locally. That's one of the nice features of iCal-formatted event attachments -- during network transit, the dates/times are expected to be in UTC and converted to local time when received. > Leave measurements in their native units, and let those who have to > translate to another frame of reference take that responsibility. Counter-argument: if it leaves your site, it's your responsibility to ensure that it meets interoperability standards. What you do within your site is your business; once it leaves your site, the rules are UTC and standard formats. It's probably never going to happen this way given the usual blockheadedness of the average Joe, but on par, it's never going to change if someone doesn't start the process. -- db
