I think you definitely have a point. I've spent most of the day trying to
figure this one out and, in the words of George Costanza, -- "These

Matt,
No suggestions for a solution, but this points up why I am _really_ not
interested in having LVM manage my root file system. Ever. I would much
rather deal with ext2/ext3/etc. in that regard.
