Yes, that is true. Once an OSA chpid (the whole chpid, not just all the devices on it!) is offline to *all* LPARs, whether from a host VARY command or from the HMC, the OSA will re-IML when it is brought back online. Alan Altmark Sr. Software Engineer IBM z/VM Development
