I could hazard a guess at French, which I learned about 40 years ago,
but as for other languages than English, not a hope. We had a Pole stay
with us for about a week in '88, and it took me most of that week to get
my tongue round his name.

And before that, a Japanese guest made it easy, "Just call be Nobby."
