Yepper, there would be no support for md, lvm, or evms.  My goals were not
that lofty.  All I wanted was a simple means to access and/or update files
within a Linux partition (originally) from z/VM and (now) z/OS.  I didn't
intend to hook into the USS (Unix System Services) VFS services or anything
like that.  Just plain old "command-line" (or Rexx) access to EXT2 and EXT3
filesystems.

That would be cool, but there's a bit more there than I'd need I fear.
Great idea though.  I'll look into it when (if?) I ever get that far.
