You were not clear on that you were installing everything, or even if you were on that, why. Lacking that clarity, you should expect people to either ignore you or, interpreting what you said, give unhelpful answers. To get bigger volumne, I'd look first at LVM which allows you to expand the filesystem size later, and helps (not hinders) backup. -- Cheers John.
