Just as an aside, John and I know each other all the way back to high school, and I've learned a lot from him.
In 1978, when I saw Unix for the first time, I thought it was the worst piece of junk I'd ever seen. Over time, I came to appreciate it, and told John I thought Unix was worth investigating. He was doing the Sigma-9 and Univac stuff then, and didn't pay much attention. What's he doing now?
