I suspect that either the files didn't get get downloaded as binary, or
that you downloaded "image" for the kernal image instead of
"vmrdr.ikr".   (File vmrdr.ikr gets downloaded as SLES8 IMAGE, so doing it
from memory it's easy to get the wrong file...)
