How you do this depends a lot on which mail server application you are using. The three major ones are: sendmail, postfix, and exim. Which one are you using?
If sendmail, please read the README file in /etc/mail. There is a section on transport-layer security (TLS) that tells you how to set this up. If you can, obtain a copy of the O'Reilly and Associates book on sendmail; there is a chapter there on TLS that is probably the definitive reference. -- db David Boyes Sine Nomine Associates > -----Original Message----- > From: Linux on 390 Port [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of > Alikhani > Sent: Tuesday, December 23, 2003 2:58 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: How to use ssl on smtp port > > > Hi all > I need help for defining ssl on smtp port . can anyone help me. > > -- by regards Sophia >
