It almost always just pits two camps against each other: 1)Those who feel that the plaintif shouldn't be compensated "for stupidity" 2)Those who feel that the plaintif should be compensated for "corporate" carelessness, indifference and wrongdoing. This doesn't yield anything whatsoever of value - and the two sides just flail away. I suggest (beg/plead/...) that this be dropped on this list! --henry schaffer
