The little green men had to take it down to remove some awkward evidence when one of them tripped and fell in front of the camera. More seriously Linux 86 has some limited ECC scrubbing support but stuff like mirrored ram on the boxes it works with Linux is a hardware layer thing. Linux has no code to do things like "figure who owned the bad page and shoot only them"
