Because if they don't, then they'll get the same complaints that Red Hat has
been getting with RHEL3:

A - It isn't supported, so we took it out.  It's never been supported but we
kept having to tell people that over, and over, and over again.
Q - Well, I understand that it's not supported, but I don't want to have to
build it myself.  Can't you put it back in?

Iterate over so-and-so in pkga, pkgb, pkgc, pkgd....


It's a no-win situation for the distribution creators.

I tried the Bastille RPM that came with SLES8, and it flat didn't work.
When I opened an issue with Suse for it, they told me it wasn't supported.
I didn't bother to ask why they included the RPM at
all.
