Yes, Linux supports NFS v2, v3 and now v4.

It also supports CIFS (for Windows file sharing) and NCP and a few others.

Unlike many operating systems, Linux was built to fit into an
environment filled with other operating systems, so NFS support has
existed almost from the start.
