Looking back over old presentations I found it.
Your logical blocksize can be greater than physical blocksize,
but the reverse is not true. Logical blocksize smaller than physical
doesn't work. Last I knew, this was a VFS issue in the kernel,
not specific to any filesystem type.
logical > physical = okay
logical < physical != okay
And it can be a real problem.
If you 'dd' a filesystem from one type of media to another,
it may prove unmountable. I have not tried this, but I would
imagine that 'dd' a 1K logical EXT2 from a floppy to zSeries DASD
would probably not work. I'll hafta check that and get back to you.
