With all due respects to Richard Stallman, you and your friends, I humbly suggest it's time to "give it up". I understand the distinction you make as I've been using Linux since 1995. Rick has been "around" even longer and also understands. But 99.99% of the world does not even know what you are talking about. I think it's unreasonable and divisive to expect everyone else to make this distinction. I suggest that, where appropriate, the formal name, GNU/Linux, be used but for casual use, Linux is just fine. To do otherwise seems just pedantic.
