I believe also the Enterprise version for zSeries of another distributor
has packages that have never been tested (because the relevant hardware
is not available on the mainframe).
Lack of a kernel would be an issue, but maybe vanilla sources plus IBM
patches would get you far enough.

If I were to run a Proof-of-Concept and were forced to choose between
paying for a demo version or downloading one from fedora.redhat.com, I
think I could make up my mind. Especially when a lot of the in-house
Linux desktops are running Fedora, Fedora on zSeries might make sense.
