A Sneak Peak at Linux 2.6 The past few months have seen a flurry of activity as 2.6 was readied for general availability. Well GA has arrived. For those of us who like to live on the bleeding edge, the code is available to download, build and use. I've been examining the status of the kernel and, in particular, the S/390 implementation since the -test3 release. In this presentation I'll present some of my findings and explain what differences you will encounter when moving from the 2.4 kernel. User Stories from the Floor We'll take some time towards the end of the meeting to find out what people are doing with their z/VM and Linux systems.
