256M? I'd give it only 64M. We run Apache servers and Samba servers in as little as 48M with SuSE SLES8. Be sure to give it lots of swap space though, at least as much as the virtual storage. I'd recommend swap in V-disk, and make sure your LPAR has plenty of expanded storage. Do all of this and you'll probably see performance actually increase. Oh, and one virtual processor is plenty for this application.
