Dave, I have a similar problem with an Intel Linux system. What really drives me nuts is that I have two printers defined to Samba and CUPS on that box; one of them gives me the error, and the other one doesn't. I'm able to print to both of them, though, so I haven't taken the time to really track down what's wrong.
