The text of that error message sounds like it's a Win2K or higher client. Is the userid you're logged into on the Windows box a member of the Power Users or local Administrator groups? If the printer install needs to load a device driver, regular users aren't allowed to do that, and you get the message shown above -- your id isn't allowed to do enough to the Windows box to let you use the printer. Mark's comment about beinb able to access one printer but not the other might be caused by the same problem. If a privileged ID accessed the printer first, the necessary drivers would be installed by that access, and then Joe Average users could connect w/o special privileges (the driver code would already be installed for that printer type).
