I have checked the /tmp/db2setup.err.running file and it is empty. I checked for any little text files that may have been created during the install but there just aren't any. I only did the minimal install of Suse instead of the standard, is it possible that there is some package that is missing ??

Also, you might look in the directory where you ran things from "/usr/local/downloads/db2/linux390/install/db2jinst" as the JVM's typically don't leave full core files laying around, but some do leave a little text file "synopsis" of what state things were in when it died. I can't remember what the naming convention for them is off hand, but it should be pretty obvious and the file will be very small, only a few lines of text, but usually very informative.
