Yeah, That's right. But given that same hardware resources are given to both the operating systems, what could be the factors ?
I am able to think of the following factors :
Positives :
1. Since Linux is an opensource, having WAS on zLinux will eliminate the workload licensing costs for z/OS because of WAS.
2. WAS for zSeries Linux is more advanced and may have features which are not there in WAS for z/OS
3. Performance of Java applications may also be better in zLinux
Negatives :
1. Extensive debugging tools likes traces, logs, dumps which are there on z/OS may not be available for Linux for zSeries
