I entered 'rpm -i tomcat4-4.1.30-2jpp.rpm '. And that seemed to work fine. I entered 'rpm -ba tomcat4.spec' and get errors about 'command not found' some of it below: /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jta /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath tyrex /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jaas /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jndi /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jdbc-stdext /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath puretls /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jsse/jcert /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jsse/jnet /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found ++ build-classpath jsse/jsse /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 1: build-classpath: command not found + ant '-Djava.home=%{java_home}' -Dbuild.compiler=modern /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449: line 71: ant: command not found Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.35449 (%build) Looking at the spec file I think I may need other jakarta packages installed.
