There are people running Linux/390 in LPARs on z800 boxes. There are people using Linux/390 and SANs (although the SCSI over FCP support is relatively new). There are people running Linux/390 and Oracle. I don't know that it means anything because no one has responded that they use all three in combination. I don't see anything that would prevent it all from working. The same would hold true in a VM environment. It should all work fine, given the appropriate tuning.
