Like everything else, with routing tables, either static or dynamic. Static would be the less-preferred method of course, but easier to set up and get working for testing.

They look like one big Ethernet pipe to the systems on both sides. (2.5 real, .5 expanded) and we'll be setting up hipersockets One thign we noticed when we moved fromhaving WAS used the DB2 Connect Client talking to DB2 connect EE in another LPAR that in turn was talking to DB2 on Z/os, to a WAS/DB2 on the guest talking to DB2 on z/os was a 300% increase in response time just doing THAT alone. One big area that we still see latency is RACF/LDAP authentication across the network. Can hipersockets be used to make RACF/LDAP calls also? We are going to be configuring z/900 to use hipersockets on z/linux and z/os... I'm just not sure on what limitations there are on what communications we can send over them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
