If I set primary_router in the Linux guest, and it appears to succeed, has it succeeded, or will I get an error if I ask it to be the primary router and someone else already is?
Now that *is* a silly question, isn't it? I am pretty sure you would try it yourself anyway ;-) I do know that the driver complains when the IP address is in-use already, but I don't think I ever tried the prirouter thing. In most cases you really don't need it, even when there is a bunch of Linux servers behind you, the Linux driver lets you add IP addresses to the OAT to have their traffic sent to you.
