This seem to be 'as good as any other' insertion point for some more
words.

I didn't expect any commecial vendors supporting it. It's more like
'try and buy' release. I think it's much more important to have 'this
is as close as we get' release available for initial testing, than not
having it at all.

Debian and Gentoo are in same position - might be working, but not
supported when yoo start to run commercial software.

I think Oracle has kind of stepped down a bit. I remember that they
do support if the glibc + frieds are right _version_ - not so much the
release, but that is not something i've been able to personally verify
so far. I don't know if that even applies tho this s/390 or zSeries
platform, but if true is nice step to the direction IMO.

The point inserting thse line here was that even tho most commercial
software indeed would work, one might have difficulties to install it.
Classic trick for shell script is to make commands like

rpm --qf '%{VERSION}' -qf /etc/redhat-release

To get the version of RedHat based distribution - this is not working
here .... so one might have to tweak a little.

My point of view is that 'it's still nice to have a shadow of
commercially supported Linux distribution which you can just grab from
the net and look how it's working for you'.

i intend to make s390x available too, but i am having some difficulties
with building process. Can't know if that is compiler or hercules as i
don't have access to 'real 64bit iron' ATM. Some stuff is just
producing wild things like casting from double to long producing some
'near 2^41 different values than expected'. Actually it's manifesting
now just in python, but you can't even install w/o it :)
