Why don't you just recover VM as well and then you won't have to re-install Linux? Or is this a permanent move?

We are moving to LPAR in a Recovery Center without z/VM. We assigned the DASDs using minidisk. The address of the minidisk is different from the original. How can we restore our current system without re-install Linux again? How do we re-assign the DASDs so linux can recognize the new addresses? Any help would be appreciated.
