Steve,

Did you insmod the dasd driver(s)? Or declare the units in your kernel
parmfile?

Mark, hello. I've downloaded s/w 9.1 and was able to boot the install
kernel, etc. I have a question, I'm trying to do a dasdfmt and I get the
following displayed:

<snip>
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~4 dasdfmt -b 4096 -f /dev/dasda
dasdfmt: Unable to open device /dev/dasda: No such device
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~5
</snip>

I have used this particular linux guest for other installs, so I know the
dasd is there. Does the dasd need a special label or
format record on it?

Thanks,
Steve
