You've got DDR included in the package, which does roughly the same thing. HELP DDR for instructions. You need to move a tape drive over to VM to use it, though. If you have disks that support snapshot capability, this is a lot easier, but caveat emptor: if you want a consistent backup, you still need to shut down Linux to get it. > If anyone has suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. This does have the same problem with backup consistency, etc that DFDSS does. You should look into building a specific guest to do backups and deploying an Amanda server on that guest, or look into using SMS on z/OS and Amanda. Much easier to use and automate, and gives you file level backup capability instead of images. -- db ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
