That's straight off developerWorks; go to the April 2004 recommended download page, click on linux-2.6.5-s390-04, click on Download for the per-problem patches, unpack the linux-2.6.5-s390-04-april2004-patches.tar.gz file you'll get, and you see (amongst others) that patch ... >I guess I would like to repeat my request for a copy of the current versions >of the S/390 files as known today. If this means "April 2004 stream level exactly, but adapted to 2.6.7", then the answer is, we don't have that -- we'd have to construct that level ourselves. If it means "whatever is in our internal repository", then the answer is, that corresponds nearly 100% to the current Bitkeeper head, modulo those changes that weren't accepted upstream (which Arnd and Martin enumerated), and those changes we're not allowed to make public (OCO source, not-yet-released features). Note that Bitkeeper head / our internal repository contain quite a few changes in addition to what's on developerWorks; this is probably one of the things that is confusing your comparisons. If you simply want to know what we recommend you should build: what Arnd and Martin said; take 2.6.7 and add the four developerWorks patches they listed. (This only misses the zfcp module_exit change, but the only effect of not having it is that you cannot rmmod the zfcp module. If this is important, I guess we can provide that patch ...) It is certainly not our intention to make building your own kernel difficult; in fact with the 'release-often' model we're trying to follow with 2.6 Bitkeeper head, we thought it would be easier to do so than it was with 2.4 ...
