Sure enough q cplevel shows 7 a.m or so in the morning there was an IPL.
It wasn't always that way. I don't know who changed it. Where would an
automatic IPL request or setting be located in VM?

Thanks!
MVS SYSPROG swimming in VM.

Subject: Re: Guest Machine Recycle

- Issue #CP Q CPLEVEL to see when VM was last recycled
- Check the VM operator log to see how they are logged off

You may want to try:
On each of the guests' consoles: #CP SP CONS STA TO <your user id> If
the machines are logged off you will receive a log of the console which
should give you some clues.

Do you leave them connected to a console (i.e. you don't disconnect)? If
so, what type of terminals are they (local coax, tn3270)? If they are
left connected then before you go home: #CP SET RUN ON#DISC

I have six LINUX guest machines running under VM. When I get to work in
the morning, they are not running and I have to start them again. What
would be causing the recycling of all guest machines at night? Or is VM
itself, in its entirety being recycled. Any help?
