VM will re-ipl when it doesn't have enough spool space. We had this problem after building the second or third Linux guest machine using the spool space as defined in the base VM (v4.3) system.

To my way of thinking a daily reboot - er, re-IPL, of VM is dumb. Any vmid with the proper privs can issue the vm shutdown/reipl command. There is no one place. Let us know how it goes.
