The Hardware Management Console is the console where
you can manage the LPAR in term of IPL and ACTIVATION
and where you can check the right functions of the
channel path and other stuff..
The HCD main screen is available only on z/OS and on
z/VM 4.4 if you are using it to manage Linux images.
If you are running Linux on LPAR you have to configure
the hardware via the HCD on z/OS.
Linux is able to use all the device defined on IOCP
created by the HCD.
