Eons ago, when I was with a different employer, we had no money for a backup program. We (Dennis Stratton, actually) wrote a program that would read the directory and back up all user minidisks with the TAPE program. (Actually, I think he used the VMFTAPE program because TAPE didn't allow large blocksizes at that time.) He had a lot of bells and whistles as he was a wizard with a capital WIZARD. For instance he put a couple of "TAPE SKIP"s after the weekly backup so there would be room for the incremental backups on the same tape! Shortly after this our company crumbled and I lost track of Dennis. I am just providing an idea. Good Luck. tom S of the Sweetwater Sea ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
