Just an FYI from IBM here about DB2 Connect and zSeries 64 bit. Yes it can be done.Yay!!!
We support Linux390(64-bit) with db2 product v8 starting from the FP6. See the following link: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/db2/fixes/english-us/db2linux39064v8/fixpak/ So, you need to obtain db2 connect v8 FP6 refresh image for the the Linux 390/64 bit from your IBM Sales Rep. They provide an uninstall script.
