Out of curiousity, why would you do this? The resource requirement
for monitoring performance (what *monitor is intended for) should
be less than 1% of the resources available. I think that if you
use a linux server for processing this data to provide performance
data, that at some point, you will solve your performance
problem by turning this function off.
