hmmm...interesting. does anyone have a gut-feel for if the 8ms latency on
our 2216 would cause very sluggish response? 8ms seems pretty fast to
me...but what do i know? :-)

That's not the problem. Our MP 3000 is a G5 architecture: it has IEEE FP
on it. I'm sure yours does, too. :-)
