Hmmm. System Programmer Answer #1: Why would anybody want to do that? (Run
with auto update turned on.) Whenever anyone on my team brings up the idea
I take a baseball bat to them. I've never blindly used SMP/E to put on
maintenance, I sure as shooting am not going to let RPM do it.

But, thanks for the warning. That really was kind of an interesting update
they decided to put out. I'm curious as to where the 'fake_ll' parameter
gets specified.

Subject: Warning - SLES8 DHCP Server now needs fake_ll

Hi List,
Just hope to save others some pain......

On SLES8 (s390x for sure) - If you run a Y.O.U. with the Automatic option
you will get a new version of the DHCP Server and Tools:

http://sdb.suse.de/en/psdb/html/ea8021cbce65fd1c28de304128e49db0.html

If you do *not* have fake_ll in your chandev.conf you DHCP Server will cease
to listen to its clients :-(

All the Best
Mark Perry
